Data Tester

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Tester with strong experience in SQL database testing and ETL validation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy integrity and quality by validating backend systems executing complex SQL queries and performing end-to-end data testing across multiple database platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and execute test cases for database and data validation testing.
  

• Perform backend data validation using complex SQL queries.
  

• Validate ETL processes and ensure accurate data movement between source and target systems.
  

• Test stored procedures triggers functions and database objects.
  

• Verify data integrity consistency and accuracy across multiple environments.
  

• Conduct data migration testing and identify discrepancies.
  

• Collaborate with developers business analysts and QA teams to resolve data-related defects.
  

• Log track and manage defects using JIRA or Quality Center.
  

• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on data quality and testing outcomes.
  

• Support regression integration and system testing activities related to database applications.
  

Required Skills

Database & SQL

• Strong SQL query writing and troubleshooting skills
  

• Solid understanding of database concepts including Tables Views Joins Indexes Constraints and Keys
  

• Experience with Stored Procedures Triggers and Functions testing
  

Data & ETL Testing

• Hands-on experience with ETL testing and data validation
  

• Knowledge of data integrity and data migration testing
  

• Experience performing backend database testing
  

Database Platforms
