The role

Be the Microsoft Purview expert shaping how data is protected and governed across Medavie. Were looking for a hands-on Microsoft Purview specialist to support and advance our enterprise information governance this role youll take ownership of how governance is configured and delivered ensuring controls are reliable scalable and audit-ready across Microsoft 365.

Working closely with governance privacy and IT teams youll translate requirements into effective technical solutions and play a key role in how governance is implemented and evolves across the organization.

What youll do

• Own Microsoft Purview configuration and administration: Configure and manage capabilities such as sensitivity labels retention and DLP

• Translate governance requirements into technical solutions: Develop scalable configurations aligned with privacy and compliance needs

• Test validate and optimize controls: Troubleshoot issues and ensure consistent reliable performance

• Partner with IT and Security teams: Support implementation changes and ongoing improvements

• Support audit readiness and governance reporting: Ensure controls are defensible and aligned with compliance requirements

• Enable stakeholder understanding and adoption: Communicate how controls work and their impact in practice

What you bring

• 3 years experience in information governance data protection security or a related field

• Previous experience supporting a Microsoft Purview implementation or rollout

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview or Microsoft 365 compliance capabilities

• Experience translating business or governance requirements into technical configurations

• Strong understanding of information governance principles (classification retention data protection)

• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot configuration behavior

• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts

Nice to have

• Experience as a platform owner or lead administrator

• Experience in a regulated environment

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools

• Experience supporting audit or compliance requirements

• Relevant certifications

• Bilingualism (English and French)

Pay Range:

The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge skills qualifications experience and education/ addition to Base Pay eligible Medavie employees may participate in various performance-based incentive programs. Payments under these programs are discretionary and subject to both individual and organizational results.
