The Department of Psychology at Capilano University invites applications for three Non-regular Faculty instructor positions in Psychology to teach face to face undergraduate psychology courses beginning in January for Spring 2027 at our North Vancouver Campus. The ideal candidate will teach multiple sections of intro of PSYC 100 Introduction to Psychology I or PSYC 101 Introduction to Psychology II and possibly one section of PSYC 213 Statistical Methods in Psychology pending availability with the possibility of additional courses primarily at the 100/200-level during future terms.
The instructor is responsible for all aspects of course design and delivery. Courses have a maximum of 35 students. This is a unionized position. Non-regular faculty are also expected to participate in professional development and in our collegial model of decision-making and service.

What youll bring
Preference will be given to candidates with (or very near completion of) a PhD in Psychology or PsyD. Candidates with a Masters degree in Psychology and demonstrated excellence in teaching will be considered. The successful candidate should provide evidence of expertise and excellence in teaching undergraduate level Psychology courses on a wide range of topics including but not limited to Introduction to Psychology Research and Statistical Methods in Psychology and other 200-level courses using active learning techniques.
Our students come from diverse backgrounds and candidates who address diversity and inclusion in their teaching practice are preferred.
