Project Manager – Water & Sewer

Project Manager Water & Sewer Salary:$120000(based on experience and formal education) Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong Water & Sewer background to oversee underground infrastructure and civil construction projects in the Edmonton area. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing large-scale civil projects preparing estimates and bids coordinating project execution and maintaining project budgets from start to finish. • Manage water sewer and civil construction projects from planning through completion.
• Prepare accurate project estimates bid submissions and tender packages.
• Perform quantity and material take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate and schedule large-scale construction projects to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
• Track project budgets costs forecasts and overall financial performance.
• Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities to improve project efficiency and profitability.
• Communicate effectively with clients consultants subcontractors suppliers site supervisors and internal project teams.
• Review project drawings specifications contracts and change orders.
• Monitor project progress to ensure work is completed safely on schedule and within budget.
• Manage project documentation including RFIs submittals progress reports and project closeout.
• Promote and enforce company health safety and environmental policies.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience in civil construction.
• Proven experience managing Water & Sewer infrastructure projects.
• Extensive experience preparing estimates bids and tender submissions.
• Experience coordinating and scheduling large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of project budgeting cost analysis and cost tracking.
• Experience performing quantity and material take-offs.
• Proficiency with Bid2Win is required.
• Strong understanding of underground utility construction methods.
• Excellent leadership organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid drivers license and a clean drivers abstract.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management Engineering Technology or a related field is considered an asset.
• Experience working on municipal infrastructure projects is considered an asset.
• Experience with additional estimating or project management software is considered an asset.
