We are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Leader to lead the Immunization Repository Consolidation initiative a large-scale complex and high-profile healthcare transformation project within the Ontario Public Sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle ensuring successful delivery of project objectives while maintaining compliance with public sector standards methodologies governance frameworks and Digital Health requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage large-scale healthcare and digital health transformation projects from initiation through implementation and closeout.
Develop maintain and manage project deliverables including Project Charter Integrated Project Management Plan (IPP) project schedules status reports risk registers issue logs change requests and project closure documentation.
Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into detailed project plans schedules timelines resource plans and integrated delivery strategies.
Manage project scope budget schedule resources quality risks issues and dependencies to ensure successful project outcomes.
Collaborate with clinicians healthcare stakeholders business partners executives vendors and cross-functional teams to define and deliver project objectives.
Establish project governance structures and provide regular reporting to steering committees executive sponsors and senior stakeholders.
Monitor project progress critical path activities milestones and deliverables while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
Lead change management business transformation adoption readiness training communications testing and transition-to-operations activities.
Manage project financials including budgeting forecasting reconciliation resource allocations and reporting using Planview and other project management tools.
Facilitate stakeholder engagement conflict resolution decision-making and issue escalation processes.
Ensure compliance with OPS Unified I&IT Project Methodology Public Sector Enterprise Architecture standards GO-ITS standards Digital Health standards and ministry governance requirements.
Coordinate integrated project delivery across multiple teams ministries and external partners.
Support knowledge transfer activities and ensure operational readiness for future support models.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience working with federal provincial or broader public-sector healthcare organizations.
Proven experience leading large complex I&IT transformation projects with significant stakeholder engagement and organizational impact.
Demonstrated experience working with clinicians and healthcare sector stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technology solutions in clinical environments.
Strong knowledge of Ontario Public Sector project governance approval processes Enterprise Architecture frameworks and healthcare technology environments.
Experience managing healthcare-related application development implementation and modernization initiatives.
Expertise in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
Hands-on experience with project management tools including MS Project Planview Jira and Confluence.
Strong understanding of information management cybersecurity access control authentication and healthcare data management principles.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with eHealth Ontario and Digital Health initiatives.
Knowledge of GO-ITS standards and Public Sector Gating processes.
PMI/PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials.
Experience leading business transformation organizational change management and adoption readiness initiatives.
