What is the Opportunity
Reporting directly to theDirector Finance theSeniorManager ProjectFinancewillhave a comprehensive knowledge of Aecon Nuclear administrative operations mentor staff in the management of accounting practices complete financial reportingandoversee all Finance and Accounting processes on sitefor the Darlington New Nuclear Program (DNNP).
This position will work closely with theDNNP Integrated Project DeliveryProject Directors and project teamsas well as the client OPG.
WhatYoullDoHere:
- Provides financial reporting to meet customer partner and site teamrequirements
- Reviewsmonthly project forecastsmanagesthemonth-endclosedeliverablesfor the Aecon-managedGeneral Partnershipsandfacilitatesmonth-endand ongoing projectreportingasrequired
- ParticipatesinQuarterly forecasts / Annual Business Plans / Budgets
- Reviews partner invoices for completion andaccuratecosting overseesbillingstotheclient
- Helps resolve any disputed billings and takes steps necessary to ensurethetimelyrelease of payments fromtheclient
- Ensures job costs aremonitoredand forecasted
- Responsible for foreign exchange projectionandinitiatingany hedgesor Letters of Creditrequiredin conjunction withtheAecon Treasury team
- Participates in the gathering of financial information needed for claimsor change order requests
- Reviewscontracts and changes for commercial terms including insurance requirements andprovides adviceon how to mitigate risk in these areas
- SupportsGPProject management with strategic planning and business case analysis
- Delivers monthly project financial updates in leadership forums
- Responsible for reviewing cash flow forecasts withsite teams andGPpartner finance teams
- Identifyingefficiencies enhancingprocessesand working files to providehigh-qualitytimelyinformation
- Mentoring Project Finance team and junior staff
- GPProject financeand Payrollstaff
WhatYouBringtotheTeam:
- Post-secondaryschool education in business or equivalent experience
- Advancedworking knowledge of anERP and Excelwith experience with SAP an asset
- Completion of a post-secondary degree and Accounting Designation
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of post-qualification related experience ideally intheconstructionand/ormanufacturingindustry.
- Strong knowledge of IFRSincluding technical accounting and reporting requirements.
- The right individual for this role will have strong leadership skillsbe a highly motivated team-oriented person who enjoys buildingrelationshipsand working with Operations teams towards a common goal.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) are extremely important in this role.

Pay range:$120000 -$140000.
Individual pay isdeterminedbased on several factors including work location education experience uniqueskillsand job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications specialized training and the complexity or scope of the role.
