Job Title: Project Engineering Manager (Automation)Location: Cambridge ON On-siteJob Type: Full-timeCompensation: $150000 - $190000Benefits: RRSP health/dental/vision package reimbursement for tuition and professional dues paid vacation personal days and sick daysThe Position:The Project Engineering Manager (Automation) is responsible for leading and coordinating the functions of the Project Engineering department within the Automation business unit. This role focuses on developing and implementing engineering policies and procedures while collaborating with Applications Project Management Mechanical & Controls Engineering and Manufacturing teams. The manager ensures profitability and successful project execution in line with the Eclipse Vision and Entrepreneurial Youll Do Here:Project Engineering:Lead and manage the Project Engineering function within the Automation business unit providing direction to senior technical contractual communication is clear and fully understood facilitating smooth handover of information from the PMO to the engineering team using the Open Book Project Communication and prioritize project engineering activities ensuring timely delivery of project documents and with key stakeholders to ensure contract deliverables are met and project designs are approved prior to and maintain department workflows and strategies to support growth innovation and technical excellence within the assess department performance against business goals and implement KPIs to drive continuous updated on industry trends design standards and technological advancements to enhance the departments innovation department budgets ensuring funds are allocated effectively to maintain with Human Resources to assess staffing needs and ensure the department has the right skillsets to handle future project the direction of senior leadership establish and implement short and long term departmental goals and objectives that support overall corporate objectivesUnderstand the business needs and prioritize efforts and strategy accordinglyConduct interviews as needed for direct reporting hires to ensure proper skillsets are being metLeadership:Foster positive relationships within the department and with other teams promoting a collaborative working regular meetings with direct reports to review project status team performance and future coaching mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and support career growthOversee the performance review process for all direct reports ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational expectations clearly to team members delegate tasks effectively and drive process improvements to increase adherence to industry quality safety and reliability standards within the Automation concepts meet Eclipse Automation and customer expectationsFoster the development of a culture reflective of the core values of the businessProject Execution:Ensure all project milestones are met and provide regular updates on project status to the Director of a high standard of professional written and verbal communication with internal and external as a corporate citizen upholding Eclipse Automations ethical standards and Project Operating :Expectation of travel to Eclipse locations is less than 20% of time however may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet organizational needsWhat Were Looking For:Education:University Degree Engineering / Robotics AutomationOntario license is preferred eligibility for license is requiredFormal project management training through PMI or equivalent PMP is an assetExperience:10 years of experience in the automation industry5 years of increasing responsibility in an engineering capacityFamiliarity with applicable codes/standards from various regions (Canada US Europe)Proven leadership skills providing direct employee oversight and coachingComputer skills required including MS Office AutoCAD SolidWorks and ERP SoftwareWhat We Offer:Reimbursement for tuition and professional dues4 weeks of vacation and 3 paid personal days (to start)RRSP matching programFree snack programWhy Join Us:Here at Eclipse Automation creation and innovation are at our core and our culture reflects that.
