Project Buyer
Job Summary
Essential Responsibilities:
- Execute procurement activities aligned with project execution plans and supplier lead times to meet project schedule commitments.
- Communicate procurement status regularly to project and leadership teams.
- Manage supplier record additions/modifications in purchasing systems including the collection of required supplier documentation.
- Issue and manage Purchase Orders (PO) including acknowledgements change orders and invoice resolution.
- Coordinate weekly monitoring of supplier progress expedite deliveries and escalate issues to Project Sourcing Leads for commercial leverage.
- Manage RFQ submissions follow-ups and lead negotiations for products and services to achieve cost-out objectives.
- Support contract negotiations and ensure executed contracts are uploaded to the Oracle Contracts Database.
- Escalate supplier quality challenges and ensure recovery of costs related to quality non-conformances.
- Ensure procurement data delivery forecasts and commitments are accurately reflected in reporting tools
- Drive supplier on-time delivery performance proactively anticipating risks and escalating as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in procurement.
- Technical Proficiency: Minimum 5 years of experience working in SAP purchasing systems. Advanced skills in Tableau Power Query Microsoft Access and advanced Excel.
- Proven experience supporting KPI tracking spend analysis supplier performance monitoring and operational reporting. Proven ability to build automated data workflows to reduce manual effort improve accuracy and support management decision-making.
- Language: English (Mandatory).

- Previous experience in project buying and strategic sourcing.
- Proficiency in Oracle Ariba Serrala and Oracle Primavera (P6).
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational/planning skills.
- Ability to operate proactively with a sense of urgency and perform under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and self-starter mindset.

Base Salary Range: $101000.00 $151000.00 CAD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. Healthcare benefits include medical dental and vision.
