Job Summary:
The Program Manager oversees the administrationmanagement operations coordination and delivery of allconsumer services for a LOFT Community Service Programand its multiple locations in accordance with the establishedphilosophy and policies of LOFT and government regulatoryagencies.
The Program Manager is responsible for the overall directioncoordination and supervision of staff including training anddevelopment Program Manager establishes and maintains effectiveclient and community relations combined with a strongadvocacy role to meet the varied needs of the program inliaison with LOFT Community Services.

LOFT Back to Home Orillia provides specialized support to vulnerable and at-risk older adults with complex physical health challenges mental health challenges addictions or cognitive impairment LOFT responds to each residents needs so they can live safely and in good health in the community as they age. Through our care we aim to postpone for as long as possible or eliminate any need for institutional care. Our programs offers 24/7 care through our specialized Personal Support Worker (PSW) team providing such services as assistance with personal care essential housekeeping laundry services and escorts to appointments.

What You Will Do:
  • Program Leadership & Operations: Lead the planning development and delivery of program services ensuring alignment with organizational goals funder requirements and best practices. Establish operational structures staffing models and service standards.
  • Team Leadership & Workforce Management: Recruit supervise and support union and non-union staff fostering an inclusive anti-racist and high-performing work environment while overseeing training performance management and on-call coverage.
  • Quality Compliance & Risk Management: Monitor program performance ensure compliance with legislation and organizational policies and oversee health and safety infection control and incident management.
  • Client Care & Service Excellence: Oversee client service delivery care planning and advocacy ensuring client-centered responsive and high-quality care while promoting client engagement and participation.
  • Financial Management: Manage program budgets monitor expenditures support funding processes and ensure financial accountability including expense approvals and revenue tracking.
  • Information & Resource Management: Oversee accurate documentation data management and the use of technology to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Facilities & Asset Oversight: Ensure proper maintenance safety and compliance of program facilities equipment and other organizational assets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Community Awareness: Respond to community needs maintain partnerships and stay informed on sector trends impacting service delivery.
  • Direct Support & Operational Support: Provide hands-on support as needed including crisis intervention and client care and perform additional duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
  • Post-secondary degree in Human Services or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 yearsof experience in direct servicework.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in programadministration/management including service deliveryprogram development staff supervision budgetadministration and liaison with community partners.
  • Experience in the planning and delivery of direct servicesin accordance with Psychosocial Rehabilitation Principles.
  • Experience in facilitating and driving quality improvementand ensuring excellence in standards of service.
  • Experience in the delivery of personal support servicesand services to seniors.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of mental healthand mental health initiatives and of the types of issuesfaced by disadvantaged adults including: substanceabuse racism discrimination homelessnessunemployment and social isolation caused by lack ofeducation poverty illness or age.
  • Knowledge of the environmental socio-economicconditions in the community the social services providedby all three levels of government and of the servicesprovided by other community agencies.
  • Knowledge of the challenges of delivering communitybased supportive housing for consumers with specialneeds vulnerable persons with special needs mentalhealth and socially disadvantaged individuals.
  • Knowledge of Psychosocial Rehabilitation Principles (PSR)with the ability to put them into practice.
  • Knowledge of the Tenant Protection Act and tenantrights and obligations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of statutes and regulationsgoverning non-profit housing social and health issuesand fire/safety requirements
  • Knowledge of unionized workplace environments and labour relations processes is an asset
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to supervise senior staff and lead high-performing teams
  • Strong management knowledge with the ability to effectively guide both individuals and program teams
  • Strategic mindset with expertise in program planning policy analysis implementation and evaluation
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with community partners stakeholders and external agencies
  • Excellent communication writing presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong project management and administrative capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change manage resources and operate within complex environments
  • Commitment to cultural competency equity and anti-oppression practices
  • High emotional intelligence with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Advanced technical proficiency including data systems reporting and information management
Work Environment:
  • Exposure to angry/hostile persons from time to time.
  • Frequent distractions and multiple shifting demands.
  • May be required to be on-call as emergency contact forafter hours
  • Staff will be required to work in resident rooms and maybe exposed to second hand smoke.
  • Occasional outdoor travel in all weather to differentlocations with transit and/or own vehicle.
  • Combination of walking sitting and using officeequipment and computers.
  • Physically able to assist client with daily living activities.
  • Physically able to perform demanding body mechanics(e.g. lifting transferring etc.).
