Job Summary

Job Description
To provide high level clinical support to the direct service staff and to provide training and liaison for parents group home and school staff in Applied Behavioural Analysis services as well as conduct functional curriculum and behavioral assessments. The Program Lead Consultant will participate in the treatment planning process as well as the design delivery and quality of program content.
What must you have
  • Masters Degree in a related field and registered as a Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.
  • 2 years experience working in the Applied Disabilities field. Areas of knowledge may include healthy sexuality dual diagnosis Autism acquired brain injury (ABI) gerontology neurodegenerative disorders and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
  • Certified in First Aid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Crisis Prevention Intervention.

  • Direct clinical experience with Applied Behavioural Analysis with preschool/school age children youth and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders Intellectual Disabilities FASD and Mental Health concerns.
  • Proven skills and experience in clinical and program support assessment and direct ABA service provision.
  • Experience working with families and an interprofessional team.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in ABA with preschool/school aged children with autism IDDD FASD and Mental Health concerns.
  • Team building team support skills.
  • Must be able to analyze a program and data to ensure that all the needs of the children are being met and the direct service staff are effectively carrying out the programming.
  • Advanced problem solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate and implement evidence based teaching techniques in ABA.
  • Ability to complete standardized curriculum assessments and design/delivery of stimulus preference assessments and to teach these to the direct service staff as appropriate.
  • Ability to ensure the direct service staff develop skills to transition children into classroom/community settings promote social skills acquisition and implement integration strategies.
  • Computer literacy in a Windows environment utilizing Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook at an advanced level.
  • Proven attendance record.
  • Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others and demonstrates behaviours consistent with Mackenzie Healths Commitment to Caring.
  • Models behaviour that is aligned with the values of Mackenzie Health Excellence Leadership and Empathy.
