Job Summary
ABOUT THE JOB
Interior Community Services (ICS) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Program Coordinator to lead our Community Living Services (CLS) this leadership role youll oversee daily operations support and develop staff and help adults with diverse abilities achieve meaningful independent lives through person-centred services.
- Lead the day-to-day operations of assigned Community Living programs.
- Recruit onboard supervise coach and support program staff.
- Foster a positive collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Ensure quality service delivery documentation and compliance with agency licensing and CLBC standards.
- Collaborate with individuals served families and community partners to support person-centred goals.
- Oversee program budgets reporting and operational resources.
- Provide leadership during crises and participate in the after-hours on-call rotation

What You Bring
- Degree (preferred) or Diploma in Social Work Human Services Psychology Sociology or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience supporting individuals with diverse abilities.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
- An equivalent combination of education training and experience will also be considered.

- Strong leadership coaching and team development skills.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience with person-centred trauma-informed and strengths-based practice.
- Knowledge of community living services documentation standards and health and safety requirements.
- Strong organizational budgeting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to crisis situations and make sound decisions.
- Knowledge of community resources and supports for individuals with diverse abilities.
Other Musts
- Valid BC Class 5 Drivers Licence with a safe driving record.
- Reliable vehicle (business use insurance with $5M liability may be required; premium reimbursement available).
- Successful Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- TB clearance.
- Willingness to participate in the after-hours on-call rotation.
- Required training (provided by ICS if needed) including Emergency First Aid with CPR-C MANDT SafeTALK Medication Management Safe Food Handling Abuse and Neglect Awareness training and other mandatory training.
- This is a union position (UFCW); union dues apply.
LOCATION: Kamloops BC
STATUS: Temporary Full-Time
TERM: 3 months
HOURS of WORK:35 hours per week
SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday schedule mainly within the standard office hours with some work performed on evenings or weekends to meet operational and program needs.
After-hours on-call responsibility while covering Supported Homes:
- Mon-Thu between 4:30 PM-8:30 AM for the assigned home.
- Some weekends on a rotational basis with the rest of the On-call team for all CLS supported homes.
REPORTS TO: Director of Community Living Services
COMPENSATION:$35.82-41.13 (Grid 14 as per collective agreement)
