We are seeking a production supervisor who is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals quality standards safety requirements cost objectives and customer commitments are achieved. This role provides strong leadership to production personnel drives continuous improvement initiatives and ensures the efficient utilization of personnel equipment materials and resources. The successful candidate will bring proven manufacturing leadership experience a strong shop floor presence and the mechanical aptitude to effectively support production operations and continuous improvement efforts.


YOUR DAY TO DAY:

  • Direct and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules customer requirements quality standards and cost objectives.
  • Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency productivity quality and throughput.
  • Ensure effective utilization of labor equipment materials and plant resources.
  • Collaborate with supply chain sales vendors and management teams to optimize plant performance and resolve operational challenges.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the production floor and provide hands-on leadership to support operational success and employee performance.
  • Lead daily toolbox meetings communicate priorities assign work and ensure employees understand production objectives and expectations.
  • Supervise team leads lead hands mechanics welders and production employees.
  • Coach mentor and develop team members to enhance performance engagement accountability and quality.
  • Conduct performance evaluations provide coaching and feedback and identify employee training and development opportunities.
  • Foster a positive safety-focused accountable and team-oriented workplace culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies procedures operational standards and safety requirements.
  • Lead safety meetings incident investigations corrective actions and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of safety housekeeping organization and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
  • Ensure products consistently meet customer specifications engineering drawings and quality standards.
  • Support production and repair activities by reviewing work requirements evaluating materials and helping ensure jobs are properly planned and executed.
  • Ensure materials components and resources are organized and available to support efficient production activities.
  • Monitor equipment and facility conditions and identify maintenance repair and operational issues requiring attention.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and manufacturing documentation to support production activities and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes reduce waste increase productivity and enhance overall operational performance.
  • Support and lead Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma or other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze production metrics and implement solutions to improve operational results.
  • Support cost control efforts through effective labor planning material utilization and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor key production metrics and operating costs while supporting profitability objectives.
  • Ensure appropriate allocation of equipment personnel and resources to meet production demands.
  • Support occasional customer vendor and corporate interactions related to production repairs fabrication and operational requirements.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 5 years of manufacturing or production experience in a shop floor environment.
  • 3 years of leadership experience supervising production teams in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand manufacturing equipment processes and production challenges.
  • Proven ability to lead teams improve performance and drive accountability.
  • Experience managing production schedules labor utilization quality standards and safety initiatives.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing Continuous Improvement or related methodologies considered an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving decision-making and communication skills.
