About This Role:

Workplace Arrangements:
This role will follow a hybrid remote/onsite schedule. Applicants for this role can expect to work on-site from our Ottawa Head Office on Walkley Road 3 days a week and there will be occasional trips to our Montreal Buying Office as needed.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Translate the merchant vision into production priorities and resource allocation to support business objectives and successful assortment execution in the Bedding Bath Beauty Footwear Accessories and Handbags categories.
• Oversee product development and production execution across the assigned portfolio ensuring merchandising strategy and quality cost and delivery objectives are achieved through effective team and supplier performance.
• Manage cross-functional collaboration to ensure assortments are produced and executed as intended achieving product quality cost and delivery requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance including supplier selection negotiations production capability quality and delivery performance.
• Proactively identify and mitigate production sourcing and commercialization risks to protect assortment delivery and supply continuity.
• Optimize product development sourcing and production processes to improve speed to market product quality supplier performance and overall cost efficiency.

What Youll Bring:

• Bachelors degree in Business Product Development Fashion Design (is an asset not required) Retail Management or a related field.
• 57 years of progressive experience in product development sourcing production fashion design and/or commercialization within a retail environment.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with Merchandising and Design teams to develop and deliver customer-focused assortments from concept through production and delivery.
• Strong knowledge of product development sourcing manufacturing quality packaging commercialization and critical path management processes.
• Proven ability to negotiate cost of goods manage supplier relationships and deliver against margin quality timing and assortment objectives.
• Strong project management organizational communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and PLM systems.
• Passion for the product and experience leading a team.

• International travel up to once per quarter

Short Term Incentive Plan: This role includes an annual bonus opportunity based on the percentage of base salary listed above with payout determined by company and individual performance.
