Our award-winning safety culture and opportunities to develop and grow within the company make Cermaq a great place to build a British Columbia is seeking to fill the role of a permanent full-time Procurement Manager to join our Finance team at our Campbell River Procurement Manager actively contributes to the strategic mandate of the organization by providing leadership and direction while seeking related efficiencies and cost reductions throughout the value Details: Lead the department through decisions that could impact service levels at a regional level yet are beneficial to the company wide operations that minimize risk to supply and maximize the procurement team to ensure safety quality service and cost savings objectives are and implement a continuous improvement program for procurement to support company goals that would enhance service delivery and strategic alliances with suppliers and implement agreements which have pricing and volume all procurement activities including approvals of Purchase Requisitions and Orders within a high level of productive progressive and supportive collaboration with the Cermaq British Columbia Management team and Management System that keeps to the corporate commitmentsApply both the local procurement policy and the global procurement policy protocols to ensure control over purchasing activities and to create value from their applicationRecommend changes to policy and procedures to enhance service delivery and cost efficiency while improving supplier relationships and lowering the cost of doing businessEducation Experience and Skills: Business diploma or degree preferred or equivalent experienceExperience managing procurement inventory planning and logistics capacity with multiple suppliers global procurement preferredMinimum of four years supervisor experience in a similar role with mid-size organizationAbility to handle multiple tasks short lead times and adjust priorities in a professional mannerPrior experience working with budgets and results analysisProven customer service skills with strong interpersonal skills that drive results and build successful relationshipsPhysical Job Requirements: Capable of car boat and plane travelThis is a full-time position based out of the Campbell River Warehouse and works Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with some flexibility to Apply: If your qualifications meet the application requirements and you would like to apply for this opportunity please apply through our careers page apply via Indeed or email your resume and cover letter stating Procurement Manager in the subject line to: British Columbia is an equal opportunities employer who provides a workplace that is free of Canada has a progressive view of reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.
