Job Summary

What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum 810 years of progressive experience operating or maintaining uranium process plants.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Direct applied experience working within stringent CNSC (Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission) regulations radiation protection zones and ALARA protocols.
  • Project Skills: Proven experience in capital projects operational readiness or commissioning.
  • Working Conditions: Ability to commute daily to the Oakville office with flexibility for intermittent site visits (via fly-in/fly-out aircraft) to remote Northern Saskatchewan locations.

Education Qualifications Accreditation Training:

Required:

  • Degree in Chemical Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering or Journeyperson Certification in an industrial trade. (Eligibility for APEGS registration is an asset for Saskatchewan work).

For applicants based in the province of Ontario the salary range is $121405 to $171405 CAD.
Application of the pay band: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidates qualifications relevant years of experience geographic location internal pay equity and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

We are currently recruiting for a Process Plant Operator & Maintenance Advisor Uranium Projects. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Oakville Ontario with intermittent travel to the Athabasca Basin SK.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and design reviews during detailed engineering. Review equipment and piping layouts to ensure maintenance and operational philosophy minimize radiation exposure.
  • Provide insight into how operation and maintenance activities are typically done in plant and helping the design team weigh various design options and their associated costs.
  • Advise engineering teams on typical shielding ventilation design dust/radon mitigation and tailings management based on firsthand operating and maintenance experience.
