Principal, Strategy & Execution, Institutional Sales
Job Summary
Interested in joining one of Canadas top performing asset managers We are looking for Principal Strategy and Execution for an existing vacancy. This role will be partnered closely with the Managing Director to drive strategic initiatives lead analytical work and ensure execution across the global institutional sales organization. This role is ideal for a structured commercially minded professional who thrives on detail enjoys solving complex problems and excels in fast-paced deadline-driven environments. You will work cross-functionally to advance business development priorities improve operational effectiveness and turn strategy into measurable outcomes.
What You Will Do:
- Partner with the Managing Director Global Institutional Sales to translate strategic priorities into executable plans and measurable outcomes.
- Lead analytical work across addressable markets competitive positioning client segmentation and revenue opportunities.
- Coordinate and drive execution of priority initiatives across global sales regions.
- Own core sales management infrastructure including pipeline reporting forecasting KPIs dashboards and CRM discipline.
- Ensure consistency and rigor in sales processes documentation and follow-through across regions.
- Prepare and coordinate materials for leadership meetings board updates and fundraising strategy discussions.
- Act as a central point of alignment between sales marketing product finance and affiliate teams.
- Manage and advance key strategic projects such as consultant coverage client segmentation and sales process enhancements.
What You Bring:
- 10 years of experience in institutional investment management institutional sales sales strategy or related business management / consulting roles.
- Experience operating within a multi-asset platform with exposure to both public and private markets preferred.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capability with the ability to translate complex information into clear actionable insights.
- Proven ability to manage multiple senior-level priorities and drive disciplined execution in a global multi-stakeholder environment.
- Strong understanding of institutional clients consultants and the institutional sales and buying process.
- Executive-level communication and presentation skills with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
- Highly organized detail-oriented and process-driven with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
- High integrity sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive strategic information.
- Relevant undergraduate degree: advanced degree (e.g. MBA) and/or professional designation (e.g. CFA CAIA) preferred.
The salary range for this position is $160000 to $180000. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by addition there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation for this position.
