The role

We are looking for a Planning and Performance Coordinator to support our Performance Measurement & Accountability Reporting (PMAR) team. The successful candidate will share the organizations core values of integrity excellence respect and creativity.

Reporting to the Director PMAR the Planning and Performance Coordinator plays a key role in supporting corporate planning and organizational performance measurement and reporting processes. This includes the coordination and development of the NRC Departmental Plan and Departmental Results Report which are tabled in Parliament annually and supports the implementation of the Risk and Compliance Process (RCP) in support of the NRCs commitments to the Government. The PMAR team operates within the Policy Strategy and Performance branch and the Planning and Performance Coordinator also supports the implementation of cross functional priorities related to stakeholder engagement and policy development.

This opportunity is well-suited for an organized detail-oriented professional who is proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and flourishes in a team environment. The candidate should have excellent writing communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to foster teamwork problem-solve and take initiative.

Screening criteria

Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:

Education

College diploma in business economics public administration or a related discipline.

University degree would be considered an asset.

A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

Experience

  • Experience in conducting analysis synthesis and leveraging qualitative and quantitative information for the preparation of reports.
  • Experience in applying project management practices and utilizing tools to track multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in building relationships and working with internal and external stakeholders.


Assets:

  • Experience in corporate or business planning and reporting and/ or risk management.
  • Experience in engaging with Government of Canada central agencies.
  • Experience in developing and/or using data analytics and visualization tools.

Note: Experience is defined as a minimum of one year.

Condition of employment

Secret Clearance
A thorough security clearance process will be applied.

For a Secret Clearance verification of background information over a period of 10 years is required. Individuals must have lived in Canada for a sufficient period of time to enable the security screening process.
