Pipefitter

CEDA is looking for  Journeyman Pipefitters and Apprentice Pipefitters for camp work with our client in Conklin AB.

This position is open to direct service providers (DSP)

• Shift: 21x7 - 12 hr Days

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install new mechanical equipment (e.g. pumps compressors air dryers converters heat exchangers relief valves pressure-reducing valves condensate tanks recirculation pumps booster pumps pneumatic controls coils isolation valves 3-way valves condensate traps)
• Fit up and prepare piping requiring welded joints
• Liaise and collaborate with other trades consultants and suppliers
• Cleans condensate traps and equipment strainers
• Provides occasional guidance to the primary function of others including training.
• Read and interpret drawings blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements
• Cut openings for pipe in walls floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
• Measure cut thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
• Thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
• Install supports valves piping and control systems
• Test system for leaks using testing equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Role Specifications:

• Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter (Red Seal preferred) required OR registered apprentice
• H2S Alive and CSO or CSTS First Aid required - Confined Space Fall Arrest (AWP) considered an asset.
• Receptive to change and can adapt to changing circumstances
• Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test booked by CEDA
