Pharmacy Assistant

Sandstone Pharmacies Enhanced Care Solutions is looking for a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Calgary Alberta. Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient careGreet customers and answer phone calls in a professional mannerAssist with entering labelling and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technicianAccurately count measure and package medications according to established protocolsReceive and stock medication and supply shipments monitor inventory levels rotate stock and support inventory auditsKeep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulationsPerform clerical tasks such as filing faxing scanning and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfersAssist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assignedQualifications:Previous central fill pharmacy experience and knowledge of Synmed and Pacmed are preferred but not as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy witha preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business is of a pharmacy assistant program is an in using Kroll and highly accurate and efficient in prescription data with Pacmed and Synmed systems is considered an verbal and written communication skills ability to thrive in a team environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containersWillingness to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays as neededSchedule:40 hours per position operates seven days a week including weekends on a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week with every other weekend times are 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 & Benefits: Competitive wages Paid vacationComprehensive health and dental benefitsOpportunity for career growth and professional development supportWho We Are:Neighbourly Pharmacy is Canadas largest and fastest growing network of community pharmacies.
