People & Culture Manager
Job Summary
- Design and drive initiatives that strengthen company culture employee engagement and a sense of belonging across all teams.
- Act as a culture custodian ensuring company values are reflected in everyday decisions communications and behaviors.
- Plan and lead employee engagement programs recognition initiatives and team-building activities.
- Regularly gather employee feedback (surveys focus groups one-on-ones) and translate insights into actionable improvements.
- Sit on the People Project Committee contributing to discussions on employee engagement strategies and the planning of employee activities and functions.
- Own the end-to-end recruitment process ensuring a positive and culture-aligned candidate experience.
- Partner with department heads to understand hiring needs and build strong talent pipelines.
- Design and continuously improve onboarding programs that help new hires integrate quickly and feel welcomed.
- Manage core HR functions including payroll coordination benefits administration leave management and HR record-keeping.
- Process and administer payroll ensuring accuracy timeliness and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Review and approve employee timesheets ensuring accurate tracking of hours worked leave and overtime.
- Ensure company policies and practices comply with local labor laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update the employee handbook policies and standard operating procedures.
- Oversee performance management processes including goal-setting reviews and feedback cycles.
- Identify learning and development needs and coordinate training programs to support employee growth.
- Support career development conversations and internal mobility opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns conflict resolution and workplace issues.
- Champion employee wellbeing initiatives including mental health support and work-life balance programs.
- Foster open communication channels between employees and leadership.
- Advise leadership on organizational design workforce planning and change management.
- Use HR metrics and data to inform decisions on retention engagement and culture health.
- Contribute to building a diverse equitable and inclusive workplace.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Psychology or a related field.
- 4 years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on culture engagement or employee experience.
- Solid understanding of HR best practices labor laws and compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience using HRIS systems and comfort working with HR data/metrics.
- Working knowledge of payroll processes including hands-on experience supporting or coordinating payroll runs deductions and payroll-related queries.
- A genuine passion for people culture-building and creating positive workplace experiences.
- HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP PHR) is a plus.
