Since 1981Ronald McDonald House Toronto has served as a place to call home for familieswith seriously ill children undergoing treatment. Ronald McDonald House Torontoencompasses a House for 81 families in downtown Toronto and seven Family Roomsin hospitals across the Greater Toronto Area and in Sudbury. The families weserve come from throughout Ontario across Canada and around the world.

We are lookingfor a People and Culture Coordinator tojoin our growing team at our House located in downtown Toronto at 240 McCaul Street.

TheRole

This role will report to the ManagerPeople and Culture and will support a variety of People & Culture andvolunteer engagement functions ensuring a positive inclusive and engagedworkplace. This is a dynamic hands-on role where youll support day-to-day HRoperations help recruit and onboard new team members and coordinateinitiatives that strengthen engagement across Ronald McDonald House Torontolocations.

You willhave the opportunity to work alongside an experienced People & Culture teamin a dynamic fast-paced environment that supports a growing organization with24/7 operations. This role offers exposure to a broad range of human resourcesfunctions and the chance to contribute to initiatives that support ouremployees and organizational goals. The regular hours of work for this positionare Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

KeyResponsibilities Include

Recruitment& Onboarding

Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboardingfor employees and volunteers

Schedule interviews conduct reference checksprepare offers and manage job postings

Track compliance requirements (e.g. backgroundchecks certifications)

Facilitate onboarding sessions prepare trainingmaterials and support payroll setup

Monitor candidates experience collect dataand make recommendations for improvement

HRAdministration & Systems Support

Maintain HR data in HRIS & payroll(Payworks) and volunteers management (Volgistics)

Support with payroll preparation and keepingemployees information up-to-date

Ensure data integrity prepare reports andrecommend process improvements

Support HRIS upgrades and enhancements tooptimize efficiency & workflows

Employee& Volunteer Engagement

Help plan and deliver recognition eventswellness programs and appreciation activities

Support logistics and communications for staffand volunteer initiatives

Manage the first line of communication and querywith staff including P&C inbox)

Track participation and gather feedback tocontinuously improve programs

TrainingDevelopment & Health & Safety

Coordinate training sessions registrationsmaterials and compliance records

Support health & safety training initiativesand related record-keeping

Occasionally deliver presentations (orientationHRIS training etc.)

Policy& Process Improvement

Assist with drafting and updating HR StandardOperating Procedures (SOPs)

Support P&C projects that enhanceorganizational culture and the volunteer experience

QUALIFICATIONS

Ronald McDonald House Torontounderstands that for any role its possible that no one person will possessall of the desired qualifications. The following is an outline of thequalifications we believe are important to bring to the position and/or developwhile in the role.

Education& Experience

13 years of experience in HR coordination oradministration

Diploma or degree in HR BusinessAdministration or related field

Experience with HRIS/payroll systems preferred

CHRP designation (or working toward it) is anasset

RequirementsKnowledge Skills & Abilities

Strongunderstanding of HR functions (recruitment onboarding training) is necessaryfor the success of the role

Updated knowledge of the ESA and Human Rightslegislation is key

Detail-oriented and highly organized withexcellent time-management skills

Tech-comfortable and curious eager to learnand leverage new systems

Strong communicator with a collaborativeapproach and people-first mindset

Able to maintain confidentiality and handlesensitive information with discretion

Customer-service oriented with asolutions-driven approach to HR activities.

Thesuccessful candidate will need to undergo a successful reference check and asatisfactory background check.
