Job Summary

The Payroll/HRIS Analyst is primarily responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for our offices across Canada and providing Human Resources Information System support to ensure effective and efficient HR operations. Including but not limited to system configuration and maintenance benefits coordination and admin and HR file maintenance. Responsibilities:Payroll: Manage all aspects of our bi-weekly payroll administration including data entry deductions and reconciliations while providing expertise in interpreting administering and implementing corporate policies affecting compensation and benefits in all applicable employee payroll changes e.g. new hire salary change retro-pay top-up pay adjustments termination pay ROE hours worked and ensure timely payment for all employeesEnsure accurate and timely payroll taxes benefits and RRSP contributions payroll time and attendance and Dayforce records by entering exemptions insurance coverage changes and vacation adjustmentsPrepare and complete reports journal entries statements and summaries related to all payroll accounts including third-party related disbursements; reconciliation and issuance of summaries related to the Income Tax Act including year-end reconciliation and processing of T4 earnings Employer Health Tax T2200s and WCBRespond to payroll inquiries from employees and managersReview payroll output per established procedures before finalizing and submitting the payroll to ensure accuracyAssist with projects related to developing and implementing payroll procedures systems and practiceReconcile monthly employee benefit billings and identify discrepancies between payroll and DayforceHRIS Analyst: Assist in developing and executing policies and provide guidance and interpretation for business to employment verifications and surveys as neededSupport and maintain Dayforce across multiple HRIS functional areas helping ensure the system continues to meet the needs of HR and the broader businessFunction as a key contributor in building foundational Dayforce architecture including end-to-end employee lifecycle processesAnalyze the impact of system changes across Dayforce modules including business processes reports calculated fields security workbooks and documentationConfigure Dayforce business processes including notifications condition and validation rules related documents EIBs and related system elementsIdentify opportunities to simplify enhance and optimize existing processes in alignment with the business practicesSupport quarterly Dayforce releases including testing validation and performance analysisDocument business requirements in a standardized way and create process documentation following HRIS changes or improvementsMonitor the HRIS mailbox respond to internal and external customers troubleshoot issues and help resolve inquiries in a timely mannerChampion and enforce strong data governance to ensure all people records remain highly accurate auditable and reliableLead quarterly data audits in Dayforce systems working with internal and external stakeholders on resolve errors and review findingsConsultative primary point of contact for employee and manager inquiries ensuring absolute discretion and security with highly sensitive dataDevelop ad hoc and specialized reports to support requests from leaders the HR team and other internal and external :2-3 years of payroll experience with Ceridian/Dayforce or another similar system is necessaryPost-secondary education in Business IT or related disciplinePrior experience in HR is advantageousStrong communication skills capable of describing Payroll and HRIS technical functionality to non-technical users Ability to work effectively in dynamic environments managing interruptions and adjusting priorities accordinglyProficiency in Microsoft Office programs specifically excelCommitment to maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of the roleIf you are ready for a new challenge and want to make a difference in the industry please send your resume in confidence to **Please Note you must be legally able to work in Canada**We thank all candidates for their application however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.*Please see for this and other positions we are recruiting. *
