Job Description:

The incumbent is responsible for providing support and technical assistance as required to Faculty and/or other staff in their delivery of skills-based learning.

The incumbent manages all aspects of the supply and equipment for the Faculty and/or other staff to include maintenance support/maintenance scheduling setting up and tearing down laboratory sessions orientation in usage of equipment and maintenance of equipment inventory.

Note: The regular days of work for this position may include an occasional weekend shift during the year.

Required Qualifications:

• Trade certification or equivalent such as a one (1)-year Pre-Service Firefighter certificate along with an additional two (2) years of experience or another relevant certification or diploma;

• Required WHMIS completion;

• Required valid DZ licence;

• Minimum of three (3) years experience in an environment that includes oversight of firefighting equipment maintenance and repairs and inventory monitoring.

This position is subject to the terms of the Part-time Support Staff Collective Agreement: position requires regular on-site work at Algonquin Colleges Woodroffe (Ottawa) Campus.
