Job Summary

This position is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys working collaboratively with internal stakeholders while ensuring contracts and legal records are accurate compliant and properly maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft review edit and administer a variety of commercial agreements including:
    • Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
    • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
    • Purchase Orders and Service Agreements
    • Vendor and Supplier Contracts
    • Confidentiality Agreements
    • Subcontractor Agreements
  • Coordinate contract execution processes and maintain contract databases.
  • Track contract terms renewals amendments expirations and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with legal document management and corporate record maintenance.
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research related to commercial and corporate matters.
  • Liaise with internal departments including Operations Procurement Finance Human Resources and Project Management.
  • Support external legal counsel as required.
  • Ensure documentation complies with company policies and applicable legislation.
  • Assist with risk management initiatives and contract-related reporting.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Paralegal Studies Legal Assistant or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a paralegal legal assistant or contract administration role.
  • Experience reviewing and managing commercial contracts.
  • Strong understanding of contract terminology and legal documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and Outlook
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Valid drivers license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the oil and gas energy engineering construction or industrial services sectors.
  • Supply Chain Management experience would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with corporate records management.
  • Experience with contract management software and document control systems.
  • Knowledge of Alberta commercial and corporate regulations.
