Zurich Canada is currently looking for post-secondary student an Internship/Coop position to support the Zurich Resilience Solutions Operations team with data analysis reporting process documentation system administration and other operational initiatives.

The length of this internship is 6 months and is offered on either a part-time basis (minimum 22.5 hours per week) or a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week).

You will work under direct supervision and perform requested tasks alongside experienced professionals. This opportunity is part of our internship program and is also open to Co-op students.

What you will do

Support the Zurich Resilience Solutions Operations team with day-to-day operational activities and business initiatives.
Assist with data collection validation cleansing analysis and reporting using Excel Power BI and other business systems.
Help maintain accurate customer policy service request and assignment information in Global Risk Engineering Workstation (GREW) and related systems.
Monitor shared inbox requests gather missing information coordinate follow-ups and direct requests to the appropriate team members.
Assist with creating and updating service requests and assignments while following established naming billing and data-quality requirements.
Support recurring and ad hoc analyses including revenue lead-time utilization service delivery and data-quality reporting.
Collaborate with Operations Risk Engineering Underwriting Climate and other internal stakeholders to complete requests and support business priorities.
Participate in team meetings training sessions and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Job Qualifications - What you bring to the table:

Currently enrolled in a university or college program and will be enrolled in the upcoming semester (ideally entering 3rd or 4th year) preferably in a Business Administration Operations Management Data Analytics Risk Management Insurance or another related discipline.
Be legally eligible to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

Strong analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including organizing validating analyzing and presenting data.
Experience with or an interest in learning Power BI and other reporting or data-visualization tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
Ability to manage multiple tasks organize priorities and meet deadlines.
Comfortable working with business systems operational data and standardized processes.
Ability to document processes clearly and create user-friendly procedures or training materials.
Customer-focused and able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different functions.
Curious adaptable self-motivated and willing to learn new systems and processes.
Professional dependable and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Previous experience in operations engineering or data analytics is an asset but not required.


At Zurich Canada we are committed to pay equity. We determine compensation based on objective criteria such as skills experience and internal equity. The salary range for this position is 45000 - 60000. This range reflects the expected pay for the role across Canada and may vary depending on factors like office location specific responsibilities and individual qualifications. As required by local law Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable compensation range but starting salaries may exceed this range based on a candidates skills and experience.
