As the Operations Engineer you will play a key role in ensuring the safe efficient and coordinated operation and maintenance of provincial highways and other roads in the municipalities around the City of Calgary. This position requires strong collaboration technical expertise and stakeholder engagement.
Liaison & Coordination
Coordinate maintenance activities across municipal and provincial stakeholders to ensure continuity of the transportation system across jurisdictional boundaries.
Act as the primary liaison with maintenance contractors municipality officials consultants and external partners.
Coordinate access and activities within the provincial highway right-of-way for internal business units (e.g. bridges construction infrastructure).
Highway Maintenance Operations
Partner with maintenance contractors to deliver safe and effective highway maintenance programs.
Support planning budgeting inspection and quality assurance to ensure services are cost-effective and defensible.
Contribute to maintenance specifications budgeting and forecasting activities.
Participate as a member of the provincial maintenance budget allocation task group.
