Position Summary

The Operations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting day-to-day operational activities effective logistics coordination and ensuring a high-quality customer experience within the grass seed industry. This position requires strong analytical skills high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Location/Operations manager with various tasks.
  • Coordinate with production warehousing logistics and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Support procurement and supply coordination activities including placing and tracking purchase orders collaborating with suppliers on availability and timelines maintaining accurate procurement records following up on outstanding orders and assisting with inventory replenishment planning to meet customer demand
  • Maintain accurate customer records contracts and pricing details within company systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations labeling standards and internal quality procedures.
  • Process customer orders including order entry confirmations changes and invoicing support when needed (typically during peak times).
  • Support inventory management activities including inventory counts monitoring stock levels investigating and resolving discrepancies and collaborating with warehouse and operations to maintain optimal inventory levels running various reports and reconciling programs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the customer experience.
  • Various other duties and tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business/commerce or a related field is an asset.
  • 25 years of logistics and order management experience.
  • 3 years of administrative experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Math skills required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software Navision (preferred) Excel Word Outlook SharePoint.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas data analysis reporting pivot tables)
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer-centric mindset.
  • Understanding of grass seed products agricultural cycles and seasonal demand patterns (or willingness to learn).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in logistics procurement or supply chain operations
  • Experience in the seed industry or agriculture sector
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) or similar ERP systems
  • Graphic design (Adobe) and website maintenance (Wordpress) is an asset
Working Conditions

This position is primarily office-based with regular use of computers and phone systems. Interaction with warehouses or production facilities may occur. Seasonal workload fluctuations are expected in alignment with the grass seed sales cycle.

Compensation:

$65000.00/year annual compensation medical dental vision etc. benefits and Group RRSP option with company matching program.
