Job Summary
Were looking for an experienced Mainframe Manager to lead delivery modernization and support initiatives for a mainframe practice in Toronto. The ideal candidate brings deep technical mainframe expertise combined with proven team and stakeholder management experience.
What youll do
- Lead end-to-end mainframe project delivery across development modernization and support workstreams
- Oversee COBOL JCL and DB2-based systems and ensure high-quality scalable solutions
- Manage and coordinate onshore and offshore delivery teams
- Drive modernization and optimization initiatives across the mainframe environment
- Engage stakeholders manage expectations and communicate delivery progress clearly
What you bring
- 10 years of mainframe experience with strong hands-on knowledge of COBOL JCL DB2 and CICS
- Proven experience managing delivery teams in onshore and offshore models
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Track record of leading mainframe modernization or optimization programs
- Eligibility for a mandatory background check
Nice to have
- Experience in financial services or banking mainframe environments
- Familiarity with mainframe migration or legacy modernization programs
- Prior experience in a client-facing delivery management role
Work setup
- Onsite in Toronto ON
- 6 month contract
- English proficiency required
