Job Description
The OCC Solution Designer (Senior) is responsible for designing developing configuring customizing implementing and supporting enterprise Salesforce Field Service solutions in a complex and large-scale environment. The role involves delivering architecture technical design integration solutions and hands-on Salesforce development while collaborating with business stakeholders architects developers project managers and technical teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
The successful candidate will provide leadership in Salesforce solution architecture application configuration system integrations Agile delivery technical documentation troubleshooting and production support while ensuring compliance with organizational standards accessibility requirements and best practices.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Configure and customize Salesforce Field Service solutions to meet business and technical requirements.
Design develop implement maintain administer and support Salesforce Lightning Cloud Platform solutions.
Provide architecture deliverables technical requirements technical specifications and solution designs for Salesforce implementations.
Develop and maintain architectural documentation technical documentation build books implementation documents and design artifacts.
Collaborate with business stakeholders architects developers QA teams project managers and technical teams throughout the SDLC.
Build Salesforce Field Service solutions based on user stories business requirements and low-level designs.
Conduct fit-gap analysis between business requirements and Salesforce Public Sector and Salesforce Field Service capabilities.
Evaluate Salesforce components technologies frameworks and configuration options versus custom development approaches.
Develop prototypes and proof of concepts to validate technical solutions and business requirements.
Perform hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of Salesforce implementations and integrations in Development Testing and Production environments.
Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external applications using REST APIs SOAP APIs web services authentication mechanisms and Single Sign-On solutions.
Work with Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC) Apex Visualforce Salesforce APIs SOQL SOSL and Data Loader technologies.
Ensure adherence to coding standards and develop well-structured maintainable scalable and easy-to-understand code.
Implement and support Salesforce security models including profiles roles sharing rules sharing settings and permissions.
Support migration and deployment activities using CI/CD and DevOps tools including Salesforce DX Jenkins ANT GitLab and Azure DevOps.
Manage user stories issues sprint activities bug tracking testing lifecycle management and deployment activities using Azure DevOps.
Conduct root cause analysis diagnostics troubleshooting and incident resolution for defects and production issues.
Document performance measures and implementation details for new environments and solutions.
Provide progress reports to project teams project leads architects and management proactively identifying risks issues and migration concerns.
Participate in planning sessions sprint ceremonies technical discussions and architecture reviews within Agile/Scrum environments.
Work closely with Project Managers and Lead Architects to develop implementation strategies and accelerate solution delivery.
Provide estimates for proposed features enhancements and development activities while reviewing estimates from team members for completeness and accuracy.
Ensure solutions comply with AODA accessibility standards and organizational compliance requirements.
Support ongoing knowledge transfer activities with project teams FTE staff technical teams and ministry resources through meetings workshops training sessions documentation and hands-on guidance.
Transfer all design development configuration and implementation artifacts into designated ministry repositories.
