Senior Financial Analyst
Job Summary
As a Senior Financial Analyst you will work out of our Calgary corporate office and play a key role in preparing and analyzing quarterly and annual financial statements as well as management discussion and analysis. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Reporting you will ensure that all reports accounting and documentation comply with company regulations professional standards and IFRS reporting guidelines.

What would you be doing
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements MD&A Board reporting materials covenant compliance reporting and other external reporting requirements while providing analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead the preparation and review of internal management reporting and external financial disclosures providing insightful analysis technical accounting support and recommendations that improve reporting quality efficiency and decision-making.
- Partner with finance leadership including the VP of Finance and Controllers to support corporate reporting technical accounting and strategic finance initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing reporting automation streamlining financial processes leveraging technology solutions and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and data quality.
- Conduct technical accounting research assist in the development and maintenance of accounting policies under IFRS collaborate with external auditors and provide accounting guidance on complex business transactions.

Qualifications :
- Experience in financial reporting and accounting with strong knowledge of IFRS and public company reporting requirements. Proven experience preparing consolidated financial statements management reporting technical accounting research and supporting external audits is essential.
- Excellent communication analytical and critical thinking skills with experience in preparing reports and communicating complex concepts effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Workiva for financial reporting as well as MS Office with ERP experience as an asset.
- Skilled in preparing various written materials including reports and accounting memos for management and public company reporting.
- Holds a Bachelors degree in Finance Commerce or Business Administration a CPA designation and has at least 7 years of relevant experience.
