The Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established M & E consulting engineering firm to support the hire of a Mechanical Site Inspector. This role is primarily site-based supporting high-rise and low-rise multi-residential developments (95% of projects) across the GTA with occasional exposure to other building types as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections of mechanical systems (HVAC plumbing) during construction.
  
• Monitor work completed by general contractors and M&E subcontractors.
  
• Identify deficiencies non-compliance issues and construction discrepancies.
  
• Prepare detailed field reports documenting site conditions and findings.
  
• Track and follow up on deficiencies to ensure timely resolution.
  
• Coordinate with contractors consultants and project stakeholders on-site.
  
• Ensure installations align with drawings specifications and applicable codes.
  

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in mechanical construction site inspection or related field roles.
  
• Strong hands-on experience working with general contractors and M&E trades.
  
• Mechanical expertise is mandatory; electrical knowledge is considered an asset.
  
• Proven experience in residential construction projects (high-rise or low-rise).
  
• Strong report writing and documentation skills.
  
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field is considered an asset.
  
• Ability to work independently on-site and make practical experience-based decisions.
  

The expected compensation for this role is approximately $100000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
