Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team on full time position. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on engineering environment and enjoys taking designs from concept through prototyping and validation. You will work closely within a cross functional team to develop robust mechanical assemblies that meet demanding performance and regulatory ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks including SolidWorks Simulation for FEA prototyping activities including tool usage fit checks and design strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics in system and component compliance with MIL-STD-810 FMVSS requirements during design and and review welded structures sheet metal components and parts requiring forming or stamping within a PLM system to manage design data revisions and closely with manufacturing testing and quality teams to ensure successful product degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.5 years of experience designing mechanical . license an asset but not a requiredProficiency in SolidWorks including FEA understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic -on experience with prototyping and mechanical with MIL-STD-810 FMVSS and vibration testing with weld design sheet metal forming and stamping experience working within a PLM to obtain controlled goods security clearance
