Material Review Board (MRB) Coordinator
Job Summary
We are looking for a Material Review Board (MRB) Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team.
In this role you will coordinate materials moving through the Material Review Board process working closely with Supply Chain Quality Engineering Manufacturing and suppliers to ensure non-conforming materials are effectively controlled reviewed and dispositioned.
You will be responsible for keeping materials moving through the MRB process following up on required actions and approvals maintaining accurate inventory and escalating issues that could impact manufacturing schedules or on-time delivery.
As the MRB Coordinator you will:
- Coordinate materials through the Material Review Board (MRB) process ensuring proper control approvals and dispositions.
- Work with Supply Chain Engineering Quality Manufacturing and suppliers to resolve material issues and obtain required approvals.
- Follow up on outstanding actions and escalate delays that may affect manufacturing or on-time delivery.
- Maintain accurate MRB inventory and support efforts to reduce cycle times.
- Coordinate approved dispositions including rework supplier returns replacements and scrap.
- Process material transactions replacement requests shipping instructions and supplier Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
- Track and report MRB inventory aging cycle time and other key metrics.
- Ensure MRB documentation approvals and dispositions are complete and accurate.
- Support inspections technical reviews audits and urgent manufacturing requirements as needed.
- Communicate MRB status and priorities to internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Participate in daily meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and cross-training to team members as required.
Physical & Sensory Effort
- Minimal physical effort. Work performed sitting/standing (50/50). Move about workplace to perform tasks. Somewhat repetitive hand/finger movements. Some lifting of low weight items with limited lifting of items with some weight.
- Significant visual attention and concentration for moderate periods of time to read reason compare and complete high precision work with eye/hand coordination component e.g. microscope fine electronic assembly.
Working Environment
- Some isolation while in MRB area; limited exposure to chemicals fumes dust and noise; some repetition; moderate interruptions and occasional high volumes/multiple and tight deadlines.
Qualifications :
What You Need to Have to Succeed
- Grade 12 education or equivalent plus a minimum of one year of post-secondary education in Supply Chain Operations Manufacturing Quality or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferably within Supply Chain Materials Manufacturing Operations or Quality.
- Experience coordinating Material Review Board (MRB) activities non-conforming material material dispositions or similar material management processes.
- Good understanding of manufacturing supply chain and quality processes.
- Experience with inventory management material transactions and maintaining accurate material records.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues coordinate resolutions and escalate concerns when required.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Supply Chain Engineering Quality and Manufacturing.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to track materials maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience working directly with suppliers including coordinating material returns and Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
- Experience reviewing technical documentation engineering drawings or specifications.
- Internal audit training or experience supporting manufacturing or quality audits.
- Experience collecting and analyzing MRB or inventory data including aging cycle time and inventory value.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing or Supply Chain environment.
- Experience providing technical guidance training or cross-training to other team members
Additional Information :
The hiring hourly rate for this position is $28.44 - $33.63 and is based on a 40-hour work week.
