About Island Gold District: Alamos Golds Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. With the two mines within the district Island Gold and Magino employ over 900 team members who work in the underground and open pit operations and are located in northern Ontario just east of the town of Dubreuilville 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa. Through ongoing exploration success Island Gold Districts Mineral Reserves and Resources have continued to grow in size and quality. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Safely move material as directed. Report and document all material moved accurately to their supervisor
  • Accurately report to supervisor the material needed in storage areas U/G
  • Remove all scrap from storage areas
  • Keep powder and cap mag area clean of garbage
  • Keep equipment in good order
  • Safely load and secure materials properly on the boom truck
  • Safely operate boom truck
  • Safely operate lube truck

Skills Knowledge Qualifications and Experience:

  • Grade 12 education preferred
  • Must have basic Underground modules completed
  • Strong organizational skills with a priority for safety
  • Able to follow directions with minimal supervision
  • Adaptable to changing priorities

Working conditions:

  • 7 days on / 7 days off schedule
  • a travel allowance is provided and varies based on distance from the mine site in Dubreuilville Ontario
  • Meals and accommodation provided while working at site
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs

Hourly Compensation range: $36.24 to $40.43 per hour

The compensation range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills experience and internal equity.
