Manual Operator I (Mailing) 3 Months Contract

This position is responsible for handling all manual departmental processes for all orders while adhering to all GDCAMS processes and procedures. Operators will be responsible for following a production schedule at the station and balancing each run before starting another following all department SOPs and using department systems and tools as are already established.

• Maintain the highest quality standards for all processed work
• Meet established department benchmarks within a month
• Comply with all GD internal policies as they relate to; processing conduct safety and security of both product and self
• Maintain the highest integrity standards for all processed work
• Must be focused and show an attention to detail
• Must be focused on customer satisfaction
• Must be able to multi-task
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently
• Responsible for the organization and cleanliness of the work area
• Other duties as required
• Comply with GD Environmental Health & Safety policies procedures and report any Environmental Health & Safety hazards incidents and concerns to the immediate supervisor/manager. Management will ensure employees are provided with job specific Environmental Health & Safety information training and also ensure employees follow workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures

• 1-2 years of related work experience in manufacturing/production field

• Good communication and reading skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Basic computer skills
• Good memory and attention to detail
• Work under minimum supervision and as part of a team

• Completion of High School preferred

• Sitting for extended periods of time
• Repetitive routine work
• Noisy environment
• Read the small print on a daily basis
• Fast paced secure environment

• Lifting up to 20lbs
• Pushing up to 40lbs
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to work overtime as required
• Flexible to switching shifts with short notice
