This is an 18 month contract role

About the role:
The successful candidate will manage an analytics and reporting team that will be developing and successfully building out new data and analytical capabilities within Group Retirement Services (GRS). The mandate of the Manager Reporting Analytics will focus on leading the evolution of key performance metrics for GRS clients business intelligence and client insights.
What will you do
- Liaise directly with our key stakeholders to understand business needs and provide suitable analytical solutions
- Direct and support a team of performance analysts in triaging and prioritizing work based on need and urgency.
- Adept at data discovery to identify and investigate data anomalies and generate insights
- Design and create visualizations that are effective at translating data into effective storytelling for clients
- Identify continuous improvement solutions to automate consolidate or discontinue processes with a focus on business value & efficiency
- Build robust documentation practices across all analytical products.
- Comply fully with all privacy confidentiality do not contact SLF Code of Business Conduct data security SLF End User Computing and other requirements related to customer data
What will you need to succeed
- 3 years experience leading an analytical team
- 5 years experience in a Data Analyst or Performance Analyst role
- 5 years experience with AWS Python or SQL
- 5 years experience with data visualization tools (Tableau Power BI)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel and VBA
- Undergraduate degree is preferred or equivalent work experience in a related field
Preferred Skills:
- Must be able to effectively communicate complex results to a business audience
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with frequent contact with people at all levels of the SLF Canada organization
- Experience in life insurance/wealth management or other financial services industry (e.g. retail banking credit card property and casualty insurance) is an asset

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other addition to Base Pay eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
