PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Reporting to the Director of Training the Manager Learning & Development leads the design delivery and continuous improvement of enterprise learning programs. This role oversees instructional design LMS administration compliance training learning governance and a team of learning professionals to support employee development and organizational performance for a company of over 20000 employees.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Lead and develop a team of eight (Instructional Designers LMS coordinators Training Design Coordinator and Federal Regulator Training Compliance Specialist)
- Manage learning programs processes reporting and project priorities
- Oversee SuccessFactors LMS administration governance and optimization
- Partner with business leaders to identify and deliver training solutions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and training record retention
- Measure training effectiveness using learning analytics and different educational models
- Research and implement modern learning solutions including eLearning and microlearning
- Leverage LMS data to assess training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Related university degree in Education Educational Technology Instructional Design Business Administration or equivalent relevant experience
- 5 years Experience leading Learning & Development or training functions
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design (ADDIE)
- Experience with LMS administration preferably SuccessFactors
- Excellent leadership communication stakeholder management and project management skills

Management Conductor Program
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
