Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends.
Manage vendor relationships including negotiations contract management performance reviews and funding agreements.
Analyze sales market share inventory and profitability data to identify opportunities and improve category performance.
Lead assortment planning SKU rationalization product launches and planogram development.
Develop pricing promotional and merchandising strategies to drive sales and profitability.
Collaborate with Marketing Supply Chain Finance Retail Operations and Sales teams to execute category plans.
Monitor competitors industry trends and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities.
Manage vendor funding rebates co-op programs and financial reporting related to assigned categories.
Present category performance reviews and strategic recommendations to leadership.
Retail banner support (Rexall Guardian IDA RemedysRx independent pharmacies etc.)
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Supply Chain or a related field.
Approximately 5 years of category management merchandising purchasing or analytical experience for Category Manager/Specialist-level roles.
Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.
Strong negotiation communication and vendor management skills.
Experience in retail sales marketing or category management of HABA or OTC is an asset.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational financial and analytic skills.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint and Excel.
Must possess the right balance between being creative and paying attention to detail.
Ability to work a fast paced and changing environment.
Knowledge of related regulations.
Demonstrated presentation and negotiation skills.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKessons pay philosophy and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
