Job Summary

Position Overview

North Star Windows & Doors currently has an opening for an Electrician within our Maintenance this role you will partner with Millwrights and fellow Electricians to support the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced window and door manufacturing facility.

This position is responsible for maintaining installing and troubleshooting a variety of plant equipment. Youll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly by diagnosing electrical issues while also assisting with mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic systems when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain install and dismantle machinery and equipment in line with operational requirements
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic issues
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and support timely resolution
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine proper procedures
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations codes and company standards
  • Identify potential hazards and contribute to a safe working environment
  • Support and guide apprentices as required to ensure successful task completion

Qualifications :

  • Licensed 309A or 442A Electrician or apprentices with level 2 and above
  • Strong communication skills (written verbal and electronic)
  • Working knowledge of CMMS work order systems
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and team mindset
  • Proven reliability and strong attendance record
  • Experience in the fenestration industry is considered an asset
  • Flexibility to support 24/7 operations and overtime as required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to work in an environment requiring PPE (safety boots glasses etc.)
  • Awareness of hazards associated with the electrical trade
