Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Mainline Hoe Operator to work on underground / water & sewer projects located in Edmonton and area. We offer competitive wages work / life balance great opportunity for advancement training and potential for work over the winter.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Rehab / replacement work - installation of underground utilities in close proximity to existing utilities and in existing residential / commercial areas
• Work closely with pipe crews to install pipe - ensuring a high level of safety communication and quality
• Adherence to legislation for excavation and trenching requirements
• Lower materials to pipe crews using proper rigging mechanisms and procedures
• Operate equipment in close proximity to ground personnel and other equipment
• Ensure work is always done safely to the highest quality standard while maintaining strong production
• Promote execute and adhere to the companys safety program
• Daily equipment inspections and maintenance
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity

Required Skills:

• 3 years of experience as a Mainline Excavator Operator
• Underground utility rehabilitation / replacement experience is required
• Exceptionally safety conscious
• Able to work independently and follow instruction from the superintendent / foreman
• Ability to operate other equipment is an asset
• Strong communication skills

Required Certifications:

• CSTS 2020 (required)
• WHMIS 2015 (required)
• Ground Disturbance Level 2 (required)

Required Experience:

Senior IC
