Job Summary

Prosperity Workforce Solutions is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for a contract in Salmon Arm BC at our clients long-term care facility. The LPN is responsible for providing patient-oriented goal-directed nursing care in accordance with the provincial standards of care.

Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Type: Contract available from July 1st to September 30th

Schedule: 8 & 12 hours available 35-40 hours per week

Daily per diem meal per diem on working days.

Pay Rate: $50/hour incorporated

Responsibilities:

  • Work as a member of the inter-professional team as described by our Professional Practice Model applying the person-centered approach to care.
  • Complete and ensure residents clinical care assessments care/service plans and documentation are accurate up to date and changes communicated as required.
  • Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the care/service plans and make changes as required.
  • Assist with scheduling of residents care conferences and participate in conferences where applicable.
  • Work closely with the Director of Care to facilitate residents move in move out and transfers.
  • Provide direct resident care and medication/ treatment administration and document care in compliance with regulatory and Resident Care standards policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Practical Nurse Diploma
  • Active BCCNM License Registration
  • 2 years experience in senior care or long-term care
  • Current CPR training certification
  • Current First Aid certification
  • Completion of a current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain)
