The Learning & Development Specialist will assist with the coordination and logistics of our orientation program support our Learning Management System create and facilitate training and related materials and support the day-to-day operations of the Learning & Development team. You will work in our office in Waterloo ON a minimum of two (2) assigned consecutive days every other week plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum youll do:Create and maintain training procedure manuals guides and course materials as required Facilitate and lead training when required Develop and cascade communication around training programs and activities for the organization Develop and participate in all aspects of the bi-weekly EQ Orientation program including but not limited to: communication with attendees presenters external vendors preparation revision and facilitation of presentations oversight of social events complete post-program analysis etc. Maintain the Learning Management System Maintain the Learning & Development SharePoint documentation Provide administration and coordination support of training courses to ensure effective and timely course information registration and logistics as requiredResolve challenges concerning the delivery of training programs between registrants trainers partners and external service providers Generate relevant dashboards/reports to provide accurate information regarding the administration compliance and value of the training courses offered Facilitate meetings and follow ups as required Establish templates for use by the Learning & Development team i.e. project meeting/meeting minutes Assist in the planning and coordination of educational events and other special events Monitor and respond to Learning & Development shared email inbox and other Learning & Development related questions Administration duties as assigned by Learning & Development Managers and Senior leadership Provide back up support to other HR coordinators as requiredWhat youll bring:University degree preferably in Adult Education Business Human Resources or similarExperience in a Learning & Development roleExperience with Articulate Storyline is a strong assetCertified or familiar with facilitating DiSCLearning Management System experience preferably with Dayforce LearningHigh level of integrity with a sense of confidentiality and privacyMulti-tasking and sound time management skillsAbility to handle interactions over the phone and in personStrong interpersonal skills and adaptabilityStrong written communication skillsAbility to work with various departments and foster resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily assumptions or when working in ambiguous situationsExperience working with Virtual Classroom / MS Teams is a strong assetMicrosoft Office knowledge including MS Teams Word Excel and PowerPoint Whats in it for you:Career Growth: Regular learning sessions and developmentopportunitiesTotal Rewards: Incentive pay annual salary reviews employer-paid benefits and pensionmatchingTime Away: Competitive vacation plus one paid volunteer day each yearFlexibility: Healthy work-life balance with employee wellness always top of mind complemented by a dress for your day Equitable were committed to fair pay and an inclusive accessible hiring experience.
