What you will do
Perform the inspection of sprinkler-based systems and complete service calls and repairs on sprinkler-based systems. Must be able to work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer and/or job requirements. Must perform all duties in a safe and professional manner. Must be willing to travel.
Company vehicle tools and equipment provided to complete all jobs.
How you will do it
As a sprinkler Service/Inspection fitter you will efficiently and neatly perform work on wet dry pre-action and deluge sprinkler systems.
You will maintain proper documentation for work performed and must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
You will be provided verbal and written instructions as well as provide verbal and written instructions to apprentices.
You will carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs and be capable of performing physical labor.
You will perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders scaffolding and high lift equipment.
Exhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with the branch staff and customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
You will maintain a clean and safe work area.
You will have a positive attitude and the ability to adapt quickly.
What we look for
Sprinkler Fitter Red Seal Certified.
. Must be a member in good standing of UA Local 179 (Saskatoon) or be willing to become a member.
Backflow Certification
5 years of experience in Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry.
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints submittals and operational/product manuals.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet working within ducts crawl spaces above ceilings etc.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
Able to participate in an on-call rotation schedule.
Overnight travel will be required.
Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
Ability to adhere to implement and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
Strong organizational skills positive attitude and an ability to learn quickly.
Possess a valid drivers license and driving record that meets company requirements.
Pay Range: $52.76 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are providedthrough a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
