This role is pivotal in supporting our commercial and industrial customers and is responsible for the service installation troubleshooting and repair of doors and dock equipment in todays ever-evolving market.
We have a strong backlog of work and are looking for the right team members to join our crew! As our business continues to grow there are abundant opportunities to install and service a wide variety of equipment types and this role you will lead a crew on certain projects and work independently on others installing troubleshooting and repairing commercial and industrial doors door operating systems gate operating systems and dock leveling equipment.
This is a field-based position that requires working in a variety of weather conditions and industrial environments which may include exposure to dirt dust oil and other job site conditions.
Responsibilities
Install service and repair residential garage doors entry doors and related hardware.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues performing repairs and preventive maintenance as required.
Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain professional relationships with customers and contractors.
Complete work orders timekeeping and service documentation accurately and on time.
Maintain company vehicle tools inventory and truck stock.
Follow all safety policies procedures and industry standards.
Support team training continuous improvement initiatives and company goals.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications
3 years of experience installing and servicing commercial door systems including rolling steel doors high-speed doors sectional doors dock levelers automated entrances gates and man doors. Related experience will also be considered.
Welding and/or electrical experience is an asset.
Ability to travel and participate in after-hours weekend and on-call work as required.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Strong mechanical aptitude and proven troubleshooting skills.
Physically capable of performing demanding field work and working at heights.
Proficient with hand and power tools.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities.
Customer-focused with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Adaptable dependable and school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to successfully pass a background check.
Basic math and problem-solving skills
