About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal administrative support including:
- Communicating with court offices clients and counsel
- Transcribing letters and pleadings using SpeechExec
- Drafting and revising correspondence and pleadings
- Filing documents through OneKey and CaseLines
- Filing and saving documents through Worldox with a transition to NetDocuments planned
- Updating and drafting documents through ACL
- Managing multiple files and ensuring all deadlines and deliverables are met
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of3 years of Legal Assistant or Law Clerk experience ideally within a litigation environment
- ALaw Clerk or Paralegal diploma or certificate
- Proven ability to manage multiple files competing priorities and time-sensitive deadlines with a high degree of organization
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment
- Strong computer and technology skills with the ability to learn and adapt to new software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive professional and collaborative approach
