Laser Machine Operator
Job Summary
Brannon Steel is looking for an experienced Laser Cutting Machine Operator to work at its Brampton manufacturing location on the afternoon shift. From $25.11 per hour and up PLUS up to $2 per hour in afternoon shift premiums.
Shifts:
Afternoon (3pm-11pm)

Duties
- Operate one or more laser cutting machines in a safe efficient manner (i.e. setup monitoring troubleshooting).
- Perform basic machine maintenance (i.e. centering lens changing consumables emptying waste).
- Organize equipment and materials to minimize downtime.
- Perform material handling activities (i.e. locating material loading/unloading machine) using an overhead crane or other material handling equipment.
- Complete all required documents in an accurate and timely manner.
- Complete assigned housekeeping activities and contribute to overall shop cleanliness and organization.
- Assist other Laser staff when work schedule permits.
- Comply with all applicable company policies procedures and practices.
Requirements
- Comfortable with the use of computers.
- Overhead crane experience with valid record of training.
- Able to read and interpret nest plans and part drawings.
- Able to complete all required documents accurately clearly.
- Demonstrated safe work habits commitment to quality and attention to detail.
