Job Responsibilities:

• Design of structural steel reinforced concrete foundations equipment supports platforms pipe racks and other industrial structures. 
• Perform structural analysis and prepare design calculations drawings specifications and technical reports in accordance with applicable codes and project requirements. 
• Design and assess equipment foundations and structures subjected to operational environmental and equipment loads. 
• Review vendor drawings equipment loads design criteria and technical information and incorporate requirements into structural designs. 
• Coordinate with piping mechanical civil geotechnical electrical and other disciplines to develop integrated and constructible solutions. 
• Perform site investigations and assessments of existing structures and develop recommendations for modifications rehabilitation or strengthening. 
• Provide construction support including RFIs shop drawing reviews field changes and resolution of site issues. 
• Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews constructability reviews and client/project coordination meetings. 
• Manage assigned structural work packages to meet technical quality schedule and budget requirements. 
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers and contribute to the development of safe practical and cost-effective structural solutions. 

Qualifications :

• Professional Engineer (.) licensed in Alberta with the ability and willingness to obtain professional engineering licensure in British Columbia and Saskatchewan. 
• Minimum 4 years of experience in structural design and engineering. 
• Strong background in structural engineering including the analysis and design of various structural systems. 
• Proficiency with CSI software particularly: SAP2000 (essential) and SAFE (essential) 
• Experience with IDEA-StatiCa is considered a strong asset. 
• Strong technical analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Integrity team spirit and a commitment to excellence. 

Additional Requirements: 

• Willingness and flexibility to travel and conduct long-distance site inspections which may extend for one week or longer as required. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
