Junior Accountant

Availability: Full-Time Monday to Friday

Compensation: $21.00 to $24.00 per hour based on education and experience

Youll love your position as a Junior Accountant:

• Process accounts payable including coding posting payment preparation reconciliations and vendor inquiries.
• Process accounts receivable including invoicing collections cash applications and account reconciliations.
• Receipt vehicle sale down payments and post transactions within our Dealer Management System (DMS).
• Balance and maintain daily cash flow for sales service and parts.
• Scan organize and post service repair orders (ROs) and accounting documents.
• Prepare and reconcile assigned balance sheet schedules.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations across multiple companies.
• Prepare lien payout payments and complete bank runs as required.
• Maintain customer and vendor records while providing exceptional customer service.
• Support month-end quarter-end and year-end close activities.
• Organize scan and file financial documents.
• Assist with annual audits special projects SOP development and AI-assisted process improvements.
• Other accounting responsibilities as assigned.

Wed love to hear from you if you have:

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting Finance Commerce Business Administration or a related program.
• Previous accounting experience is considered an asset.
• Previous dealership accounting and PBS (or other DMS) experience is an asset.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Comfortable using technology and interested in AI tools to improve efficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work flexible hours during month-end and year-end.
• Valid G drivers licence with a clean drivers abstract.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the automotive industry.
