We are currently looking for a dedicated Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Surrey this position you will be responsible for diagnostics and overhauls of large industrial marine and power generating engines.

Major Job Functions:

• Diagnostics repairs and overhauls of large industrial marine and power generating engines.
• Perform field diagnosis and repairs
• Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
• Complete technical documentation (service reports warranty crossover notes)
• Interact with customers product and sales support and the rest of the Finning team
• Work with the Service Supervisor and Lead Hand on various tasks as required

Qualifications:

• Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
• Valid drivers license with a successful recent drivers abstract
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Completion of Finning S-Levels Failure Analysis Machine Electronic Controls or Tier 4 training would be considered an asset
• Completion of Caterpillar product courses would be considered an asset
• Previous gas engine and power generation experience wouldbe considered an asset

• Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement
• Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement
