Overview

Role Overview

The Java Lead will be part of theCapital Markets Technology Middle Officeorganization responsible for designing delivering and supporting missioncritical platforms that underpin trade processing risk P&L and posttrade workflows.

This role requires a stronghands-on technical leaderwho can operate within ahighly regulated large-scale banking environment partner closely with business stakeholders and lead teams to deliver stable and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design development and enhancement ofJava-based middle office platformssupporting Capital Markets.
  • Partner withFront Office Middle Office Operations Risk Finance and Complianceteams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Own system architecture technical design and code quality across the application stack.
  • Drive technology standards best practices and SDLC adherence aligned with enterprise governance.
  • Lead code reviews mentor developers and provide technical guidance to onshore/offshore teams.
  • Ensure system resilience performance tuning and production stability in a 24x5/24x7 environment.
  • Support regulatory initiatives audit findings and risk remediation activities.
  • Collaborate with DevOps QA and Infrastructure teams for CI/CD releases and environment management.
  • Participate in incident management root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience withCore Java (Java 8)in enterprise environments.
  • Extensive experience withSpring / Spring Boot REST APIs and Microservices architecture.
  • Strong understanding ofmultithreading concurrency memory management and JVM tuning.
  • Experience withrelational databases(Oracle PostgreSQL) and strong SQL skills.
  • Hands-on experience withmessaging and event-driven systems(Kafka MQ JMS).
  • Familiarity withCI/CD pipelines Git Maven/Gradle.
  • Experience working inLinux/Unix environments.
  • Exposure tocloud-native or hybrid architectures(AWS/Azure) is preferred.

Middle Office & Capital Markets Experience (Mandatory)

  • Proven experience working inMiddle Office TechnologywithinInvestment Banking or Capital Markets.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Trade lifecycle and posttrade processing
    • Trade enrichment confirmations settlements and reconciliations
    • Risk and P&L reporting
  • Exposure to one or more asset classes:
    • Equities Fixed Income FX Derivatives
  • Experience working withrisk regulatory reporting and compliance-driven systemsis highly valued.

Leadership & Client-Facing Skills

  • Demonstrated experience leading development teams in alarge banking environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engagebusiness partners and senior technology stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating within structured processes enterprise controls and regulatory standards.
  • Strong problem-solving ownership mindset and attention to detail.
Additional Information

Pay Range: $160000 - $195000
